Mr. Nathan Kwabena Anokye Adisi, popularly known as Bola Ray, stands as one of Ghana’s most influential media entrepreneurs and broadcast pioneers. Beginning his journey as a student radio host at Radio Universe and later Top Radio, he quickly distinguished himself through creativity, discipline and an exceptional command of audience engagement. His breakthrough came when he became the first African and Ghanaian to host Top of the Pops on BBC Radio, projecting Ghanaian music onto the global stage and redefining international visibility for the country’s entertainment industry.

In 2003, he joined Joy FM as host of the Drive Time Show, transforming it into the most influential drive-time programme in Ghana. His ability to blend entertainment, business insight and cultural relevance positioned him as one of the nation’s foremost broadcast personalities. After 11 years of impact, he transitioned into executive leadership as CEO of EIB Network Group, where he spearheaded the rapid growth of a multi-platform media conglomerate. Under his stewardship, the network expanded aggressively, nurtured new broadcasting talent, and became a formidable competitor within Ghana’s media landscape in record time.

Beyond broadcasting, he has shaped media-business integration, brand partnerships and large-scale event production, influencing industry standards and mentoring the next generation of media professionals. Through visionary leadership, continental brand positioning, and transformative contributions to broadcasting and media entrepreneurship, Mr. Nathan Kwabena Anokye Adisi was honoured with AfriHeritage’s African Media Icon Award.
