Profile
Mrs. Lesley Anita Adjei Mensah is a young dynamic industrialist whose impact in the food and beverage sector has reshaped supply chains and empowered communities across Ghana and beyond. As Chief Executive Officer of Fenaam Industries Limited and Founder of Lesfam Company Limited, she has demonstrated exceptional vision in building efficient, large-scale distribution systems that connect manufacturers directly to retailers, easing access to essential goods and stabilizing local and sub-regional markets.
Starting her business - the Lesfam Company Limited in her mum's garage, she has grown it from a modest startup into a major distribution powerhouse employing a large number of Ghanaians and experts, with a fleet of trucks, and a state-of-the-art warehouse facility - one of the most advanced in Ghana. Through strategic partnerships with leading manufacturers such as Guinness, Nestlé, and Promasidor, she has ensured the seamless delivery of over 200 product brands nationwide. Her work has significantly reduced logistical burdens for wholesalers and retailers, particularly in underserved communities, while improving affordability and availability of goods.
Beyond business growth, Lesley has remained deeply committed to social impact, consistently creating employment opportunities for young people and supporting community development initiatives in rural areas. Her leadership philosophy rooted in innovation, operational excellence, and people-centred growth, has earned her multiple global recognitions.
In recognition of her outstanding contributions to business innovation, job creation, and community empowerment, Lesley Anita Adjei Mensah earns AfriHeritage’s African Women in Business Impact Award.
