Ms. Bianca Akweley Clinton, Esq., is a formidable legal mind whose career reflects precision, courage, and pan-African purpose. A dual-qualified Solicitor and Barrister with over two decades of experience across Africa, the United Kingdom, and Europe, she has built a reputation for excellence in corporate governance, financial law, and institutional reform. Called to the Bar in 2005, she made history the same year as one of Ghana’s pioneering women in corporate and financial law, and as the first female Vice President of the Ghana School of Law, elected by her peers.
Her professional journey spans senior leadership roles at ProCredit Ghana and Access Bank, as well as Legal Manager at PwC Switzerland, where she honed global best practices in compliance and regulation. Bianca’s influence extended further through her work as a consultant to the World Bank Group, advising on governance and regulatory reforms across the ECOWAS region.
Today, she serves as Co-Founder and Senior Partner of Clinton Consultancy Ltd, a Pan-African law and strategy firm operating in Ghana and the UK, specializing in commercial litigation, maritime advisory, investor relocation, and medical negligence. A Stanford Seed Aspire Scholar and tech entrepreneur, Bianca also champions mentorship, gender equity, and ethical leadership, shaping the next generation of African legal professionals. Her enormous impact and legacy in pioneering leadership, cross-border legal excellence, enduring contributions to governance, justice, and institutional development across Africa, earned her AfriHeritage’s African Legal Icon Award.
